PEP = after. Clock: hours. Setting: urgent clinic or ER. Goal: a doctor decides whether a short antiretroviral course is appropriate.

PrEP = before. Clock: months. Setting: booked clinic. Goal: stay HIV-negative with a documented prescription and labs.

Mixing them up wastes the only resource that matters on PEP day (time) and turns PrEP into an emergency, which it is not.

If the exposure was within 72 hours, start at STI testing & PEP / the 72-hour guide. If you are planning ongoing risk and are currently HIV-negative, start at PrEP / the legal pathway.

China Medical Journey sells the English arrangement for both. Clinics sell the medicine. That split is the whole compliance story.
