When comparing Shanghai health checkup packages, ask for the actual test list, clinician review, English report arrangements and total price for the same booking date. Package names alone do not tell you those details. Below we compare two concrete Parkway package brochures still linked from its official website, then explain how Jiahui’s published health-management options differ as a booking enquiry.

Source limit: the Parkway image paths show an August 2022 upload folder. We checked that the official pages still display these brochures on 23 October 2026, but have not confirmed them as the latest offer. Neither brochure gives us a current bookable price. Use this comparison to request the updated itemised package, not as a quotation or a recommendation to undergo every listed test.

Shanghai health checkup packages: two published lists compared

Parkway’s Essential package page and Deluxe package page each link a detailed checklist. These are selected differences visible in the brochures, rather than a complete transcription.

Comparison basis: brochures in an August 2022 upload folder; current versions unconfirmed.

The brochures label their two columns for men and women. We reproduce that distinction only to explain the source: it is not a personalised screening recommendation. “Not listed” means absent from the brochure we inspected, not unavailable as an additional service. Ask for the exact current list proposed for you.

The difference is useful when requesting a quote: you can ask whether a named test is included rather than asking whether a package is “comprehensive”. Do not assume the longer list is the better choice. Discuss appropriate screening with a clinician who knows your history and previous results. Our guide to choosing a health checkup in China covers those questions in more detail.

What the Parkway pages establish about appointments

Both official pages describe an initial examination and investigation session, followed by a physician evaluation and discussion of the results. Essential’s description says the second session is scheduled once the first session’s results are ready. Treat the pages’ “Day 1 / Day 2” headings as stages to clarify with the provider, rather than confirmation of two consecutive calendar days.

For a short Shanghai stay, ask when your specific tests would be completed, when the clinician can review the available results, and which results might arrive later. Confirm the location as well: Parkway lists multiple Shanghai facilities, but the package page does not establish where your particular booking will happen.

The published package names are a starting point for enquiries. This guide does not confirm foreign-passport registration, an English report deadline or a bookable package price. Request those details together before paying.

Jiahui offers another route for a package enquiry

Jiahui’s Health Management Center publicly lists general tiers including Jade, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Executive, alongside focused options such as cardiovascular screening. The service page describes personalised reporting and a physician’s explanation of results. We could not verify a complete current item list or price for the named tiers, so we do not put them beside Parkway’s brochures as if they were equivalent products.

That leaves a concrete comparison to request:

Neither provider is presented here as a CMJ contracted partner. A public English service page is useful for finding an enquiry route; it does not verify every language or scheduling detail of an individual booking.

Compare complete quotes, including the English report and review

Ask both providers to quote the same scope and identify optional additions separately. Include the assessment, agreed tests, physician review, report delivery, and any separately charged follow-up. If an insurance claim matters to you, ask about the required invoice and documents before booking; coverage depends on your insurer and policy.

Be specific about English delivery. Does it include the summary, every laboratory result, imaging reports, and the clinician’s explanation? Will records arrive electronically after you leave? Ask who handles questions about the completed report and how an abnormal result would be communicated. These details matter more to a traveller than the package label.

For background on the handover, see understanding your health checkup results. A report does not replace a clinician’s explanation or any recommended further assessment.

A message you can send before choosing a package

I will be in Shanghai from [arrival] to [departure]. Please send the current itemised checkup options for a clinician to review against my history and previous tests. For each option, please confirm the total price, venue, preparation instructions, English documents, physician-review appointment and expected delivery dates. Please identify optional additions and separately charged follow-up.

Follow the provider’s preparation instructions for the final booked plan, including any instructions about food, drink or medication. Ask the clinician if anything is unclear rather than applying preparation advice from a different package.

China Medical Journey can help you discuss an initial budget and check remote appointment arrangements and the agreed English information and records delivery. The provider confirms the suitable package, preparation, costs and timetable. You can enquire while your dates are provisional, then choose once the plan and travel arrangements are clear.

FAQ

How much does a Shanghai health checkup package cost?

The official pages reviewed here did not establish a current bookable package price. Request an itemised quote for the chosen provider, package version and date, including clinician review, English documents and separately charged follow-up.

Is Parkway Deluxe better than Essential?

The published Deluxe brochure lists additional items, but that does not establish that it is more appropriate for you. Ask a clinician to review the current package against your history, risks and previous results before choosing.

Can I finish the checkup and receive the English report in two days?

Do not assume so. Parkway describes investigation and review stages, but that does not confirm consecutive dates or a final English-report deadline. Ask your chosen provider to confirm each appointment and delivery date for your booked tests.

Can I directly compare Jiahui Gold with Parkway Essential?

Only after obtaining the current itemised contents and complete quote for both. This guide verified the names of Jiahui’s public options but not a complete current Gold checklist or price, so it does not claim those packages are equivalent.
